As spring turns into summer in New York City gay men begin to shed their winter coats in favor of tank tops and the shortest shorts they can find. The nightlife scene also changes with the weather as rooftop terraces open for happy hour at local bars, like The Eagle NYC in Chelsea. The newest addition to the lineup of bars in the gayborhood is Hardware Bar in Hell’s Kitchen. The younger sister of Pieces Bar in Greenwich Village, Hardware opened its doors to the gays during Hurricane Sandy. Earlier this week the venue opened up its literal garage door to invite patrons to a 12-9PM happy hour with $3 well drinks.
Hardware Bar’s latest addition to its weekly line up is Tr!ck Tuesdays, a weekly underwear party hosted by Shameless McGreedy and DJ Kimani Gordon. Each week they introduce a special guest host to keep the party fresh and the party-goers wanting more. The party’s tagline, “A husband is nice but sometimes you just need a trick” truly speaks to all who attend, with boys stripping down and ready to play. If you happen to accidentally come upon this party and, for some reason, aren’t wearing anything suitable underneath, fear not! Andrew Christian briefs are given out so you can join the fun!
